Our play-based learning environment is designed to be both developmentally appropriate and individually appropriate for each child in our program.
Our approach to early childhood education is experiential nature, and focuses on the development of the whole child through the head, the heart, and the hands.
Tammy Meyer (Teacher and Founder of The Child Centered Home), has been an Early Childhood Educator for over 25 years. She holds a BA in Child Development and Family Studies, and a MA in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. She is a life-time member of The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Tammy created The Child Centered Home to be a stimulating educational environment for young children in a home-like setting, and feels that children learn best when they feel comfortable, nurtured, and valued.
